OpenPOWER Abstraction Layer (OPAL): Runtime API implemented by firmware called into by the host operating system to invoke platform-specific functionality. Currently implemented by Skiboot. Comparable in scope to UEFI Runtime Services and parts of ACPI on the x86 platform.
