Centaur (Centaur): Codename for a family of memory buffer chips designed for use with POWER8 and POWER9 Scale Up systems. These sit between the CPU and its attached RAM modules. Not used for POWER9 Scale Out systems, which use on-die DDR4 memory controllers.
