PowerPC AS is a set of Power ISA extensions developed by IBM to support their IBM i operating system. The extensions provide hardware memory tagging functionality to allow a tag bit to be associated with every 16 bytes of memory, as well as other functionality intended to support IBM i.

The extensions are supported by POWER9 hardware, including the Talos II and Blackbird systems.
