Gitea official binaries for ppc64le are not yet available; xgo PR #111 appears to be the main blocker. CrazyMax's fork of xgo has ppc64le support as of 2020 Nov 8. techknowlogick's fork of xgo also has ppc64le support as of 2019 Nov 3, but the README indicates that ppc64le support is not present (no idea why). Gitea switched to techknowlogick's fork as of 2019 Mar 15, but Gitea is still not building ppc64le binaries for some reason.

However, Void Linux for Power Architecture packages Gitea for ppc64le, and it works fine.
